UPDATES

We are pleased to announce the success of Team Toni and are so thankful for the generosity and compassion of our volunteers & friends.  We have been able to help so many already and we are not even at a year of being established.  We have helped several with gas cards, funeral expenses, memorial flowers, medical/insurance expenses, Christmas presents, & monetary donations!  Over 300 Toni kits have been received by those in need.  Our squeezes have reached over 100 registered Tonis! Special thanks to our bubbleflies (volunteers in charge of Toni updates) for your extended time in loving our loved ones. 

We are so excited for the events to come…

In remembrance of Toni & a burden she had for lonely elderly people & sick children, we have created a Christmas tree, with ornaments for you to pick up and return a gift for!  We will deliver to hospitals to sick children & to nursing homes to the elderly that are alone on Friday December 20th, 2012!  Pick up and sign up for your gift/ornament now @ Tumble World in Chesapeake!  Let’s celebrate Toni & remember her this Christmas!

Send a squeeze has been an amazing success so far reaching out to over 90 loved ones by sending cards, support, prayers, & love as Toni wanted shared with others!  We currently have over 400 volunteers participating and loving our “Tonis”.  We’d love to have you on our team, it’s not a timely job just mailing a card or sending a message!  You don’t need to do a lot to love someone that is needing your support!  Toni is counting on you…  you can volunteer under “contact us” by clicking “join the team”.  Send a squeeze today!

Team Toni is so proud and thankful to supporters for allowing us to help over 10 “Tonis” in monetary donations!  Many others have been reached with “send a squeeze & other services” as well.  It is because of Jesus Christ and the love Toni Black shared with us that we have been led to help others!  We have been able to help in ways such as; gift cards, nutrition & food, gas/fuel cards, and benefit donations!  Thank you for your continued support of Team Toni! 

A special shout out is in order to Lowe’s of South Point & manager Justin Wurtzler for helping Team Toni to purchase a stove for our “Toni” Dustin Galloway!  Dustin is currently in remission with a brain tumor and lives in the West end of Huntington, recently moved from Ironton!  Dustin and his family had no appliances at their move in and Team Toni is so thankful to help them out!  Love and prayers to Dustin and his family!

A special thanks goes out to “Buffalo Bill” and the Elks Lodge of Huntington for the Spaghetti Dinner & Raffle for Team Toni on August 18th, 2012 @ the Elks Lodge!  Great fun was had by all!  Thanks again to the Elks Lodge!

A benefit will take place for Aubra Smith battling leukemia on Saturday, September, 29th from 9am to 11pm @ Riverfront Park in Point Pleasant, WV!  If you live in this area please make sure and stop by and show her some love…  Toni Strong Aubra!

We are so thrilled with the involvement of the 2nd annual Team Toni poker run & jeep ride!  Over 40 motorcycles & 8 jeeps were in the ride that paraded through 4 hours of road!  It was a great success!  Thank you for all who attended and even those that waved as the 1/2 mile long brigade passed you!   Thank you for remembering our Toni and riding for all of those fighting so hard!

Over 150 Team Toni kits have been distributed to those battling cancer & various other medical problems.  Each person is reached with a bible, prayer bear, bracelet, lemon drops, cinnamon drops, & information card…  We are so excited about the direction Team Toni has taken in loving so many and reaching out to the hurting!

We are so excited to share the excitement of Team Toni…  Several challenges have held us up a bit, but we vow to not allow it to discourage us!  The tax exempt status has been received, however a slight hold up has haulted us on insurance.  We are looking into several options, however we are going to proceed with our store, services, and community events as previously planned!  Please begin looking for emails and phone calls to begin the process of volunteers as necessary to offer services to our friends in need!  Thank you for your support!!!!

The Toni list has been received and we are working on contacting all of the people who have registered them before we contact your Toni!  Care packages have began process including pink bible, prayer bear, sour patch kids (Toni’s fav), lemon drops (to help with chemo metal taste), Team Toni welcome card, & Team Toni information card.  Once the “donate” button is working you will be able to purchase care packages for your loved ones, if you do not want us to provide, and or sponsor care packages!  There are currently 28 Tonis registered for services!

Toni Black was honored as the WSAZ Hometown Hero on April 27th, 2012 in Huntington, WV.  She is truly a hero and has inspired us all beyond words!  Thank you Toni… until we meet again… c-ya, bye… >!<
